Bring your own key
Add the providers you already use.
In the Windows app, add a key under Settings → AI & API Keys. BYP checks it with the provider before saving it and keeps it in the Windows Credential Manager. Your agreement — and any charges — are with the provider.

Brokers
Connections that say what they do.
You connect with your own credentials. BYP checks the connection with the broker before calling it connected.

Live trading through Interactive Brokers is on hold. Other brokers, including tastytrade, TradeStation, Saxo and Schwab, are not available in BYP; their names appear in the app only so you can request an integration.
BYP is not a broker. Orders, fills, custody and account protection are provided by your broker under its terms.
Limits
What to expect — honestly.
- Delayed is normal. Many stock sources, including free plans and Interactive Brokers snapshots without a live-data subscription, are delayed. BYP shows Delayed rather than guessing.
- The web app has no market data. In the browser, prices show as Unavailable or Demo. Use the Windows app for data, keys and brokers.
- Some modules use samples today. The screener runs on a fixed sample universe, options analytics use a sample volatility table, and the desktop depth ladder is simulated — each is labelled.
- Backtests need history. With an Alpaca connection, Windows backtests use real daily history; otherwise they are labelled SIMULATED.
- Sources can fail. When nothing can supply a value, BYP shows Unavailable and a dash instead of an old number.
